‘Street King Immortal’ Will Be My Last Album – 50 Cent Is Retiring

After spending almost 15 years supplying heat for the club and the streets, 50 Cent is considering retirement.

Serving as the December 2016 cover star for Muscle & Fitness, the Queens-bred rap mogul provided an extensive interview for the magazine highlighting his acting career, his training regimen and his desire to step away from music after completing his elusive album Street King Immortal.

“I want to finish with that project. I don’t want to write another record after that. You know how some artists got to have confirmation that they’re right. I have that confirmation in f-cking 35, 40 million [albums] that I already sold,” he said.

Since 2011, the “In Da Club” rapper has been teasing Street King Immortal. Despite several push-backs, he has released a few mixtapes ,including The Big 10, The Lost Tape, and The Kanan Tape. In 2014, he came out with his fifth solo album, Animal Ambition, which served as his first independent album since departing from Interscope Records. Earlier this year, 50 earned a gold plaque for his infectious banger “I’m the Man,” which later received the remix treatment from Chris Brown.

Fif recently threatened to quit his hit Starz show Power after it was snubbed for a Golden Globe nomination.  “I’m on the move again, Golden globe’s can suck a d-ck,” he wrote about the Hollywood Foreign Press Association on Instagram last week. “I accept my series POWER was not intended to be a signature show for the network but it is the highest rated show. I know my audience very well, I’m done promoting this out side of contractual obligations. SEASON 4 KANAN MUST DIE, I got other shit to do.#EFFENVODKA.”

50 Cent is still keeping busy though, and will star in the upcoming crime thriller Den With Thieves.
