A lot has been said about the alleged love triangle between singer, Simi, and her colleagues, Adekunle Gold and Falz. But no one really knows how the trio actually met. Well, Sunday Scoop is set to tell you. In a chat with our correspondent, she traced the genesis of their relationship. “I met Adekunle Gold while I was performing at an event centre in Lagos. Unknown to me, he had been listening to me since I was a gospel artiste and he said he was a fan of my music. Nigerian alternative soul singer, Adekunle Kosoko popularly known as Adekunle Gold who confirmed that he has indeed left YBNL in an interview with Planet TV, has unveiled his official band  ‘The 79th Element’ reportedly named after the atomic number of Gold. The band houses Micheal Bakare as its producer and music director, Oladele Afolabi handling the drums, Babatunde Alaba on percussion, Ojekunle Ayodeji on the keyboard, Owa Ayo on Base guitar, Femi Leye lead guitar, Kosoko Adekunbi and Aigbokhan Martins backing vocals. ‘In YBNL You Don’t Renew Contracts’ — Adekunle Gold Confirms Split

Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold has confirmed in a brief chat with PlanetTV, that he no longer belongs under Olamide’s label YBNL. The ‘Sade’ singer claims that he his currently on his own and has no plan of starting his own label anytime soon. In his own words; “My contract has expired and that’s it. In YBNL you don’t renew contract. Olamide signed us for two years, so that by yourself, you can hustle and make things happen. Singer Adekunle Gold Dumps Olamide and YBNL

Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold has according to reports parted ways with YBNL boss, Olamide and the YBNL music label. The rumors regarding the split surfaced after Adekunle Gold deleted all photos of the YBNL label boss from his social media page. It became hotter after all other YBNL artistes and former artistes posted the latest Olamide’s song “Love No Go Die” artwork except the ‘Sade’ crooner who deleted the post few hours after he posted it on his social media page.
